How to export company and contact data?

Once you have applied filters and optionally created some lists, you can start exporting the company and contact data. By doing this, you’ll be using Bizzy credits. In this article, we’ll give you some more information on how to export data from the platform and how to use your Bizzy credits.

Want to export the results of your filtered search or your ideal prospect list?  You can simply download all company and contact data by clicking on Export in the top right corner.

Here you will have 2 options:

  • Export to file
  • Push to integration

In this article, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of how to Export to file.
Note: When viewing smart lists, click the Actions button in the top right corner to access the Export to file option.

Customize your export

Once you've clicked on Export to file, you’ll have the option to customize the columns included in your downloaded file under Default View.

Note: What is a view, and why does it matter?

A view is a customized selection of columns and data that's important for you to see or export. The key advantage is that you can save your view for future use, so you don’t have to reselect your preferred columns every time you export.

By clicking on Change view on the right, you can select an existing view or create a new one by clicking on Manage views. Then, either edit an existing view or create a new one by clicking the + button next to Manage views on the left. In both cases, start by naming your view by clicking the pencil icon next to the view name.

To adjust the columns:

To add: Use the search bar to perform a search or browse within the filters to find the column you want to include.

To delete: Click the trash bin icon next to the selected column on the right.

After making your changes, click Save view to apply and save your custom column settings. You’ll be redirected back to the initial list view.

Click Export again, then Export to file, and Change view. Now you can select the view you just created.

Note: You can use this view to adjust the displayed columns in your search results or lists. It will be available under Default view as well.

Take a look at this video for a clear walkthrough on how to change the view.

Define export format and contact criteria

Next, choose your preferred file format:

– XLSX format: The export will include two tabs—one for company data and one for contact data.

– Raw CSV format: The export will show companies and their related contacts on a single row in the same tab.

Continue to define the scope of your export:

– Choose how many companies and how many contacts per company you want to export.

– Decide whether to export all companies or only companies with contacts.

The maximum number of credits required for the export will be displayed in blue.

Note: Find more information about credit usage in this article.

You’ll also be asked to specify which contacts to include:

  • All contacts
  • Only with e-mail
  • Only with verified e-mail

Note: A verified email address has been confirmed to be accurate and active. A probable email address is one that is likely to be valid based on similarities with verified email addresses.

Additionally, if you're working with Prospeo, you’ll have the option to include mobile phone numbers. You can find more info about the Prospeo function in this article.

Again, the maximal number of credits required will be shown in blue.

Completing Your Export

When you're ready, click Confirm to start the export. Once the export is fully processed, the file will be sent to your email.

You can always review your exports on the Export & Pushes page in Bizzy.

Note:

Exporting a large dataset may take some time—on average, about 0.5 seconds per row.

Viewing, exporting, or pushing the same company and/or contact data multiple times does not cost extra Bizzy credits, as long as it’s done within the allowed reuse period — either 30 days or 365 days, depending on your Bizzy licence.

If your Bizzy licence started before April 28th, 2025, you’re on a V2 licence, and the reuse period is always 30 days.

If your Bizzy licence started on or after April 28th, 2025, you’re on a V3 licence, and the reuse period matches your billing cycle (monthly or yearly).
